Yizhan's major research fields are macroeconomics, monetary economics, and international economics. He is fortunate to be advised by Fabio Ghironi (University of Washington, NBER, CEPR). 

Yizhan is also a dedicated teacher whose teaching evaluations were among the best at the University of Washington.
