At the University of Washington, Yizhan served as a teaching assistant for two quiz sections and as an instructor for three independent courses, including a graduate level course at the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance. His overall teaching evaluations were among the best at the UW: across five teaching sessions, his average evaluation was 4.84 out of 5 with an average 40% response rate. In recognition of his teaching, Yizhan received the Steven Langton Teaching Award from the Department of Economics. As a recommender, Yizhan has written letters of recommendation for students admitted to undergraduate transfer or master’s programs at Columbia, Cornell, the University of Chicago, Duke, and Carnegie Mellon, etc.
